4 Things You Need To Know Before You Take That Next Vitamin

*This post was sponsored by Jamieson Vitamins, however all of the advice and opinions below are my own and I would NEVER endorse or recommend something that I wasn’t comfortable taking myself or giving to my family ♥️

The world of vitamins and supplements can be a little overwhelming. Whether you are shopping online or strolling down the aisles of your local store, there are soooooo many options out there.  Sometimes it can be hard to know what you should add to your cart and trust with your family’s health. Here are the four things I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way!) that you should be aware of before taking that next pill:

They Don’t Belong In Your Medicine Cabinet!

Heat and humidity can affect the quality and potency of your vitamins, so ideally, you shouldn’t keep them in your bathroom’s medicine cabinet.  Try to store and organize them in a cool, dry spot - think of your bedroom or a linen closet. Keep them away from areas in your home where there is a lot of fluctuation in the humidity and the temperature. That means not only out of any bathrooms but also away from your laundry room and not near your oven in the kitchen. Don’t forget to read the information on the package to make sure you’re storing it the right way!

Know What You Need

As a mom of four, a business owner and a self-proclaimed overthinker, the amount of decisions I have to make every day often feels tremendous.  So, anytime I can take out the guesswork and have part of my day go on autopilot, I’m all for it. One thing that I don’t have to think about is what vitamins and supplements me and my family need. Knowing that Jamieson has done the research when developing the Essentials line is a HUGE help in reducing the burden of choice. I have found that making Vitamin D, Omega-3, probiotics and a multi-vitamin part of my family’s daily routine has given us the fresh start for our health that we need and allows me to focus my energy in other areas that need my attention.

Go For Trust, Not Trends

It seems as if every celebrity and influencer out there is coming out with a line of some “guaranteed” supplement to make you smarter/healthier/skinnier (insert the latest thing you are SUPPOSED to be here).  At the end of the day, this is something that you are literally putting into your body, so you better be sure what you are getting. Jamieson has consistently been voted the most trusted vitamin brand in Canada.  Their products have a worldwide reputation for potency and purity, so you know you’re getting a top-of-the-line product.  If you want to know more about how they set themselves apart with their industry-leading commitment to giving you the purest, safest and most effective natural health solutions available, check out their 360° Quality Promise.

Make Them A Habit, Not A Happenstance

Anytime you introduce something new into your routine, it can take some time for it to turn into a habit.  As a home organizer, I often compare organizing to exercise: it’s great if you do it once, but to see real, long-lasting results, it needs to become something you do regularly. The same can be said for taking your vitamins and supplements.  If you want to see the improvements in your heart, immunity, digestive health and overall nutrition that Jamieson has spent over 100 years perfecting, then it’s important to find a way to make taking them a habit.  Try setting a reminder on your phone, storing and organizing it near something already part of your routine or writing it down so that it sticks!
